By downloading, installing, or using Roastly ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
The App is a humor and entertainment tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate playful "roasts" — exaggerated comedic critiques — based on a selfie you upload or text you write. All roasts are AI-generated fiction and not statements of fact.
You must be at least 17 years old to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.
By uploading a selfie or entering text, you confirm that:
We reserve the right to refuse service, rate-limit, or block users who violate these rules.
Roasts are generated automatically by a large language model. They:
You agree not to rely on the App for any serious decision, evaluation, or representation of any real person.
The App, including its design, code, brand name, and assets, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright and other laws. Third-party assets used in the App (such as icons) are used under their respective licenses.
You retain all rights to the selfies and text you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a limited, revocable license to process them solely for the purpose of generating a roast.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or to your liking.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or reputation, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $20 if you paid nothing.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights — including uploading someone else's image without consent.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, including violations of these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date above shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Apple's standard EULA also applies to the extent it grants users additional rights.
